WHERE IT ALL BEGAN…

James A. Munion had a start just like anyone else, at the very bottom. He swept up the work shop for a company called Dodson Brothers, Inc. when he was only 12 years old. Mr. Dodson said to James A: “I actually can’t believe that you moved the glue buckets out of the way to sweep in the corners. The last kid we had never took the time to do that.”

From that day forward, James had a permanent place at Dodson Brothers, Inc. He quickly moved on to shop hand, and was allowed to help create the laminate counter tops the company made. After only a short amount of time, Mr. Dodson trusted James with crafting the counter tops on his own. James took to it with excellent initiative. However, after an extended amount of time creating counter tops, it was time to move on with his career.

Jame’s grandmother owned a two car garage she rented out for tenants. The day he said he was going to start his own business, she, (politely as an italian-broken-english-speaking grandmother could) kicked out the two tenants immediately and gave James his work shop. Since that very day, the business has been operating out of that very same two car garage.

We have been family owned and operated since we turned the power on in the shop, in 1978. We specialize in Kitchen & Bath Remodeling, Custom Cabinets, Vanities, Cabinet Refacing, New Cabinets, Bar Tops.

MEET OUR TEAM

James A Munion- Owner

I started my business over 40 years ago. Ever since I was a teenager in high school I knew I wanted to have my own business and become a cabinet maker. The only A+ I ever received was in shop class. Outside of work I enjoy swimming in my pool (I keep it open until December), and spending time with friends and family.

Anthony Munion

I’m the oldest son of four children. Upon graduating Penn State University (WE ARE) I have been working full time with my dad for over 8 years. I look forward to one day taking over the family business. Outside of work I like to spoil my dog Teddy, spend time with my wife, and play win for my flag football team.
